Mesa Verde, Colorado - October 13-17, 2011

1400 year old cliff dwellings still compel visitors to stop, wonder and fall under the spell of the amazing Ancestral Puebloan civilization.

October is the perfect time to visit: few crowds, great weather and the best light of the year!

This year's Mesa Verde event promises to be an unforgettable experience. Our friends at Aramark have arranged an incredible all inclusive package that includes private tours to the ruins, fine dining, posh rooms and even a wine tasting!

October 13th:
- Arrive at 4pm Mesa Verde National Park, CO
- Welcome Reception and hors d’orves 4pm-6pm
- Dinner in the Metate Room of the Far View Lodge 7pm
- After dinner lecture on light and its varied qualities

October 14th:
- Early morning snack and coffee 6 – 6:30am
- Leave at 6:45am for sunrise shoot at the Far View sites
- Full Breakfast in the Metate Room 9am
- Optional lecture: Demystifying camera controls “Harnessing the power of digital technology” 11am-Noon
- Lunch at 12:30pm in the Metate Room
- An introduction to Adobe Lightroom 3 software: Perfection is a Process: “Using Lightroom to squeeze the juice out of your images” 1:30-3pm
- Depart the Lodge at 4pm for evening scenic overlook shoot including Park Point, Geologic, and Montezuma Valley Overlooks
- Dinner in the Metate Room at 7:30pm

October 15th:
- Breakfast at 8am in the Metate Room
- Morning session using images from the previous night with hands-on processing in Adobe Lightroom. 9-10:15am and continuing 10:30-Noon
- Lunch in the Metate Room and relaxation from Noon-3pm
o Optional walk around the Far View Lodge to shoot flora and fauna with question and answer
- Depart the Lodge at 3pm for Southern Sites shoot including Spruce Tree House, Square Tower House, Sun Point View, and Sun Temple.
- Dinner at 7:30pm in the Metate Room

October 16th:
- Breakfast from 7:30-8:30am in the Metate Room
- Depart for park ranger guided Balcony House shoot at 9am
- Return from Balcony House site with lunch and a rest from Noon-2pm
- Depart Lodge for ranger guided Long House shoot at 2pm
- Return from Long House with wine tasting at 6:30pm and fine dining dinner at 7:30pm

October 17th:
- Breakfast in the Metate Room before checkout at 11am
o Chris will be available for questions and discussion of personal images from the week.

The workshop is limited to 12 participants.

Cost is $1825.00 per person. Includes all meals, reception, wine tasting, lodging, private tours and fees, once inside the park.
